what causes oil to get to hot to handle dip stick on 1993 ford f150 4x4
I saw the oil crackle on the stick once. But by then it was too late. The oil pump quit working. What does your oil pressure gauge read?
Normal operating temperature of the engine is about 195°F. Almost like holding a glass of boiling water. I'd say it's normal unless you're having other issues. HTH. -Jim
