1993 f150 4.9 issues

My f150 only has about 160k miles on it but recently I've had some issues with it.    I had to change the fuel pump a few months ago then the distributor right after that.   Since the distributor got changed I have had issues with the oil pressure going beyond the gauge.   It will start riding rough but if I pull over for awhile it is fine.  A couple of days ago going down the road there was a pop.   I don't know if the pressure went back up again but I am fairly sure it did because my oil cap had popped off.   I also found that one of my brand new spark plugs was broken right on the porcelain.   What could be the problem and what can i check?
