can you help me with a fuel leak ?

I have a 1993 f 150 90000 miles about a mouth ago I began to smell gas
fumes in the cabin.I filled up both tanks yesterday and today the smell was so
bad after a short trip I could not stand the smell any longer. running on the rear
tank when I got home to ck it out front tank had gas leaking out of the cap,left
the truck running switched tanks and the Gage went way pass full.whats up?

it is a common issue with your truck, I would diagnose the fuel system and would think the fuel check valve is faulty.

The valve that controls which tank the engine draws fuel from is bad.
