how good does the f150 with a 302 pull
looking to buy a 1991 f150 with a 302 v8 to pull a 18 foot lawn care trl.,with 3 commerical mowers on it. weight will be around 5 thousand pounds. how good will this pull it. thanks for your help, johnnie
it should pull okay, i've got 89 f150 that i use to pull a 19ft runabout and it's like there's nothing behind me.
I use my F-150 to pull my competition ski boat, which is 20 feet with a 351 in it. It's heavy. You'll have no problem with your trailer.
i pull my 20 ft boat daily with my 95 f150 302... weight is about 3500 lb and it pulls no problem, like its not even back there, might i add i also have 150K miles, 9 inches of lift, and rolling on 35" mudders
Johnnie, ha ha I own a 1991 f150 v8 and i pull a 2 horse trailer that is about 3,000 lbs and each horse is about 1,250 lbs and it gets the job done just fine. But I see you posted this in may so hopefully by now you own the same truck as I do! -Jessica
I have a '88 ford f150 with the 302, there may be a little bit of a year difference but I pull my 24' prowler 5th wheel camper with it, no problems. Its a stock 302, with stock gearing, stock height. Everything is stock other than the rear tires which are 31/10.5s. And I also may add that it has somewhere between 150k and 160k miles on it. It'll have no problem.
