Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my truck feels like I am not getting any get up and go. It does not raise RPM
fast enough and it slows down going up hills that are paved.  I have already
done the EGR which has helped a lot and I also did the Vacuum.  I was
wondering if I should do the ECM just because of the AGE of the truck. Like for
example I am putting a new radiator on it just because I know my original is
going to start giving out anytime soon.  I am not on a budget and I am trying to
make this truck my daily driver, and deal with the flow of Los Angeles traffic.
My father gave me this truck after my first deployment to Afghanistan in 2007
and I would love to fix this truck as much as possible to make it to a hunting
trip to Montana.  If you have any other suggestions on parts I should replace
please let me know.

COULD BE RETARTED DUE TO A WORN TIM. CHAIN...HOWS THE FUEL FILTER?

Instead of throwing a lot of expensive parts at a problem you cannot determine, bring it to a repair shop. A fee for diagnosis will be a lot less expensive.

The timing chain is good, and the fuel filter and pumps have been replaced within three years.
