replaced ignition switch, replaced safety switch, replaced solenoid.... power getting to the front of solenoid but not to back...... can the screw driver test from starter wire on solenoid to positive terminal on solenoid.... truck will turn over but wont start..... with key turned on no accessories inside truck come on.... did notice fusable link coming off solenoid was burned in two.... connected it back together with a wire nut connector.
With the key not in the vehicle and the ignition in the locked position check the horn and lights. If the lights are dim and horn not loud check for a ground problem.
Nothing electrical works in truck with key in or out.
Check in and around the fuse box for signs of burning and a short. Sounds like that is what you have. Begin checking the wiring hornace and all its connections and the route. Have someone step on the brake and see if the tail lights come on. If they do not, the problem is going to be in one central location.
