Truck cranks but does not start. Many new parts put in.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Parts replaced:  ignition module, ignition coil, spark plugs, and distributor cap.
All fuses checked OK.  Relays checked OK.  What do we try next?

Which engine does it have? Do you have fuel pressure?

Engine is 4.9 liter. Mechanic did fuel pressure test, truck passed. Do not detect spark in plugs.

118,855 --- might want to double check firing order if you haven't already.


Only checked first plug--three times. Should all plugs be checked individually.


is there a pick up coil in bottom of distributor if so replace should fire off like a champ

replaced module at bottom of distributor.No change.

Could it be the ECU?

Replaced relays, coil, distributor, rotor and fuel pump. No start.
