It's designed to burn.

Im spending 80 dollars aweek was spending 40 dollars.

In that case, time for a tune-up. Clean/replace maf, map oxygen sensors, fuel injectors, plugs, fuel/air filters, any trouble codes, clear them, check brakes, tire alignment, etc.
