Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Soon as I drive it the rpm's go up to 3rd gear
and doesn't go more than 30mph and I have
to shift between 2nd n 3rd to keep it going. I
haven't driven it since had 2 opinions both
said tranny but they never opened hood to
see if it was inside transmission or anything
else which made it hard for me being that
doesn't give me an exact understanding..any
thoughts?

This has a computer controlled transmission and the most common failure is the shift solenoids, so check your fluid level and color of the fluid if the level is good and the color is red and not dark then chances are high that the solenoids are the problem, of course getting the tranny diagnosed should be you next step, any good tranny shop will have the equipment to this. However if the fluid is dark then it could cost you a rebuild. HTH
