1995 F250 351w starter solenoid

Asked by Tfernan13 Jul 24, 2017 at 01:21 AM about the 1995 Ford F-250 2 Dr XL Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a working solenoid in the truck now. Ignition wire
sends volts to solenoid. Battery good. But will not actuate
to engage the starter. I jumped it and the starter does
work. This truck functioned literally a week ago. Drove
cross country. Left for a week. Came back. Doesn't work
now. It survived a 9 month deployment sitting but can't
survive a week. I'm at a loss.

Turned out to be the clutch start cancel. It's worn out. Jiggled the shift lever and it sensed it was in park finally.
