Asked by Nov 17, 2017 at 10:07 PM about the 2006 Ford GT RWD

Question type: Car Customization

Would it mess up the motor or anything if you just simply
took the cover off of a stock air intake and replaced the
filter and leave the cover off to make it a cold air intake is
this possible?

That would not be a cold air intake but a hot air intake.

it is ok if you want sand and rocks in cylinders

what kind of car are you wanting to do this on. There are a few aftermarket options available for cold air intakes.
