Timing pointer

I have a 1993 econoline club wagon 5.8 and it
doesnt have the pointer by the balancer that point
to your mark is there another way to make a
pointer or do you have to buy a replacement

Put a long screw driver into #1 cylinder through spark plug hole,turn engine over manually until screw driver rises up.
