I have a 2003 suburban with 170,000 miles on it when starting it puffs a bit of smoke out
of the the air filter box
If it starts and runs normally I wouldn't worry about it. With 170,000 miles on it you're starting to see some blow-by. Make sure your PCV valve and PCV hoses are clear and in good condition. If they are I'd consider it normal. Just part of getting older. HTH. -Jim
