What cause a water pumb on 2003 leak and howto fix it and the cost
What causes a water pumb to leak on my 2003 suburban? What is the cost of having it fixed?Could there be other reason why it is leaking or causing it to leak?
Failed bearing or gasket. IT is a wear item, so typical to replace around 100K. Figure a $300 -$600 if you have a shop do it, that's cost of the pump, coolant and maybe some new hoses.
Don't forget the serpentine belt as long as you have it torn down. Do now or later at a much greater labor cost. Use new antifreeze, and if you have a lot of miles on it, ask if a flush of the system/radiator is expensive.
