Car will start after sit for awhile but won't start after driving n turning it off what it mean?
Hi I just bought a 2003 Chevy impala . my
car starts in the morning when I go to work
and then I turn it off and won't start back up
but I let it sit till 4 or more hours then it'll
start the process again... I bought a new
battery and new starter was put in.
Is the engine turning over and just not firing up, or do you turn the key and get nothing?
It'll sound like it after the first couple times .. Somete it'll start up but chug till it stops .. When I keep trying I get nothing
Try changing out your Engine Coolant Temperature sensor. It may be bad causing the computer to run a rich mixture of fuel. That may explain the chugging and stalling out. When you said you keep trying and get nothing, if the car stalled out and you try to start it again, is it totally dead, like the starter is not engaging? Or does the car continue to turn over the engine, and it's just not starting?
After like the 5th time I try to start it . it won't found like its gunna turn over . the battery light will come on n it'll stay quiet
If your battery light is coming on, you may have bad battery cables or a bad ground. Have you noticed the battery light coming on while you are driving it?
Try changing out the ECT. Engine Coolant Temp sensor. See if that will at least make it start on the first try.
Okay thanks .. I'm gonna get a coolant flushed too . the coolant is a Lil dirty
