2000 F250 Lariat 4WD Crew Cab, My electric windows stop working at all switches at times then you can wait awhile or drive down the road and they start working again.
I noticed that the lights on the switches go out when the switches stop operating the windows. I thought it might be in the master switches on the drivers door. All other accessories appear to be operating normal.
Sounds like a bad hot wire connection at the driver's door switch. Check there first. If that's ok, check the wiring going from the main body to the driver's door. Remove the rubber boot and inspect the wires for breaks and damage. These wires flex and move each time the door is opened and closed. Since the driver's door is used the most these wires are prone to wear the most. HTH. -Jim
