My son has a f350 superduty powerstroke turbo I asked him about your truck he said maybe your fuel pump is going out that in 4th gear your drawing a lot more fuel.

My fuel pump is good it's a new and I checked my fuel pressure and its fine the truck goes into pump mode and and I can't keep the moter going at all when the check engine light comes on won't throw any code but as soon as I turn the truck off and turn it back on it will crank right up and it will idle all day long and can drive at 35 as long as I want but as soon as I go 40 goes into limp mode slows down even if I push in the clutch and down shift still won't go half to turn it off the light goes off and crankes up everytime
