abs/ no tracton lights stay on

Asked by May 25, 2012 at 11:40 AM about the 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier LS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Both of these lights stay on when I drive. How do I know if it's the sensor or there's water in the line? If so, then what is the estimate of both?

Since both lights are on, you have a wheel sensor issue or problem with the circuit/harness wiring. Your car will not go into the ABS mode if you need to stop quickly while the lights are on. You need to read the code/code scanner to tell you exactly what wheel/side the problem lies. Figure $200-$400 for a garage to look at it and repair.

it could be a wheel sensor . water in what lines? it's electronic ! you need to put in on a scanner , try auto zone they'll check it for free.
