Car starts,runs for maybe 30 seconds then stalls

I had an air flow hose that came off a couple days ago,i
got that fixed but now my car doesn't stay running,it starts
but sounds like crap,it runs for about 30 seconds then
stalls,i also have soot coming out of my exhaust,i checked
the fuel pump,it was good,i checked the gas and it didn't
seem to have any water in it
