How do I get the sealed cap off?  And what is the replacement part for the cap

Since the CEL is on, have the car scanned for the code or codes, or do you know the code already? Safe/limp mode activates to protect the engine when something fails and trips the light. Could be anything. Adding trans fluid won't accomplish that.
