Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1994 Mercedes-Benz E-320 Wagon suffers from rapid, long "Jounces" with every road dip.   M-B mechanic I use says I need "ACCUMULATORS"? for $800!   Can't I get and FIT adequate SHOCKS or STRUTS and SPRINGS?   Please advise me.   I'm REALLY CONFUSED and $$$ is a factor.     Thanks, Carl.

Start with new shocks. That's a cheap and easy way to start.

you really need to consider keeping the car the way it was designed so you maintain the best performance and ride. Go to and price out what you need. I think you will find their prices are a fraction of MB's and actually have a longer warranty. The part you need may be item P32-074 which sells for 119.99 each. Your car has two of these.
