Only in the summer when the AC is on ,and not often but my 2004 trailblazer will stall?? I have brought it to the dealers and they checked for codes and nothing ...It has always done this New ..Help p
I live in NC so the summer is hot and muggy...when my ac is on and the radio the car will stall at a stop light ...we have tried to fix it and nobody ever finds anything wrong
Could be the idle air control valve either bad or dirty. It's job is to idle your vehicle up when ac and or other acc are being used. Try cleaning it first also clean throttle plate and throat of throttle body around the plate. Hope this helps.
When you switch on the A/C this sends an "a/c request" signal to the computer. The computer then increases the idle speed about 50 RPMs to compensate for the added load of the A/C compressor. This sequence of events will also happen when "defrost" is selected. Most likely, as the above poster said, the IAC (idle air control valve) is not responding. If cleaning it doesn't solve the problem replace it. They usually aren't too expensive. HTH. - Jim
My truck was doing the same all i had to do was renove the throttle body and clean it really good with cleaner and it bever happened again.
Best fix is remove fuses #10 and #28, then remove your throttle body and clean with sensor safe spray like Seafoam. This will fix your problem, this is the most common problem with the GMT360 platform.
Same problem! Definitely clean the throttle body thoroughly and don't forget to "relearn the system" after or it will still idle rough. Here's a video on how to do that. https://youtu.be/wrSWi2_gltA
Removing fuses #10 and #28 for 15-30 minutes then replacing after the cleaning will also relearn the system without disconnecting the battery.
