2007 Honda pilot's temp gauge soars when idling

When our 2007 hond pilot idles, the temperature guage soars to hot and the
airconditionimg warms. Everything goes back to normal when driving
resumes

Cooling fans inoperative.

More than likely your water pump is going bad. When the engine us idling the pump does not supply enough water flow to keep the engine cool.
