My 2007 LX will not lock with the key, and courtsey lights won't come on when door is opened and the vehicle indicator light for tires and doors stays lit at all times.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Happened when I pulled a rental trailer and trailer lights shorted out, but then came back
on when I pulled it.  Trailer could have just been happenstance.   Have changed battery in
key, does not help.  Interior lights will stay on in the on position, or off in off position, but
will not work in the door open position.   Also display now shows car all the time, but still
shows if door is open, tires pressure is low, or hatch is up.  Any Ideas?

I discovered the problem by accident; after chasing shorts in wiring for some time. The problem was that the rear and middle courtesy lights (there are 2 lights in each section) in the headliner were not in sync. One turned on and one turned off. I turned them both on and the problem was solved. Worked with both off. Honda service manager had no idea how to solve problem.. .when told answer said there were lots of things they didn't know about with new cars.
