Having trouble with the radio coming on and then suddenly going off...
I have a 2002 Toyota Tundra and about 10 yrs. ago I had radio w/disc player
put in. Its been fine until recently, when it doesn't want to come on and when
it finally does, it intermittently goes off and does that all the time now. Sounds
like a loose wire or connection? Or it can be the radio's life is about done?
Hello there. I need more information to properly diagnose and troubleshoot your issue. Is the new audio system Toyota stock or is it an aftermarket brand? Where did you have it installed? Has there been any other sort of electrical issues with the pickup? Have you used the AM/FM portion of the audio player, and does it work to pick up audio station? It does sound like a loose connection especially if a new wiring harness was required (as they are for most aftermarket stereo installations). Ill keep an eye on your post for your reply. Best of luck!
Thanks for your quick response... Its an aftermarket bought at Circuit City (out of business) No electrical issues. Use the radio more than the CD portion. Haven't tried the CD since the problem, but its the radio that comes on & off. I turn it on and eventually it comes on... I'm listening to a song & it goes off, then comes back on. It is intermittent...
