My 4x4 Light in Dash blinks constantly and it will not go in 4 wheel drive. any advice on where to start troubleshooting

yes, the vacuum solenoid on the underside near the transfer case should have a vacuum source and electrical connection to it~

if you have to replace the ole butyl rubber hoses because they are cracked suggest Silicone hoses as found in most racing shops...summitracing.com has them~ you've got to ask for them at like pep boys kragen oreilllys napa~
