clicking noise when accelerator is pressed - toyota tacoma 2001 4wd
Right after tuneup- when depressing accelator, I hear a clicking noise on right front
engine. Not pressing accelator ? No clicking noise at all. Only when depressing accelator
driving down the hwy
If it is slight clicking noise, could possibly be lifter tap, could be caused by low grade oil,low oil,and depending on mileage wear and tear.
But there are a lot of older tacoma,s and toyota,s that have produced over time a slight ticking sound, and as long as it dosn,t get louder, the yota will run a long time.
Thank you so much ! I think it is the old Toyota finally showing its age. Should I still run my truck by my mechanic to make sure ? Great answers and VERY fast ! Thanks
It would not hurt to have it checked, you are welcome.
