It is wise to put tires and rims, tire size 215/70R16, on a Rav4 that has tires and rims, tire size 235/60R16, on it right now? I am not taking any tires off of the rims. Just thinking of switching the tires and rims on the car. Thanks
The swap would still be in an acceptable range circumference wise as +2.7% difference. So with the new wheel and tire combo you will be off by 1-2mph on the speedometer. But the biggest difference would be the width of the tires. The new combo of 215's would be around 3/4" less wide. Are you mounting snow/winter tires?
I am thinking about the switch to put snow tires on. Actually, there is a 1999 rav4 being sold for parts that has brand new snows on it. Supposedly they have the same bolt pattern (5x114.3). I also have a question about if a 1999 rav motor would fit in a 2004 rav.
