I need work on water pump and transmission flush and fluid. Which is more important to do first?

Well if water pump fails you burn up and engine, if transmission fluid gets too bad, transmission looses lubrication and cooling and you burn up a transmission. It's up to you but I would not drive it until you can afford to fix it all at once. Sorry

Listen to tennishoes...you really should do both..both could be very expensive fixes if one or the other completely fails...
