Is there a adjustment on a 98 rav4 5 speed manual transmission

I found that the outer sheathing on the cable (after the firewall) was deteriorated and the cable was flexing out and not "pushing" the leaver to change gears. I was able to remove the sheathing and then split a piece of fuel line to wrap cable with then secure with three small hose clamps. I now have all my gears back and although it seems to be a temporary fix (I dont plan on working on this for a long time) this really works! And it only cost me less that $5.00 for the clamps ,,, now thats my kind of price tag! Good Luck
