my 96 toyota rav 4 sometimes will start but yesterday wouldn't.. When i turn key the engine is tryin but wont start
If it's cranking but not actually starting, it's either not getting spark, or not getting fuel. A spark tester will determine one, while a fuel pressure gauge will determine the other. A quick way to check if it's a fuel problem is to spray starter fluid into the throttle body where the air intake tube is clamped to it. It will run until the fluid is burned up, then stall again. In that case it is most likely your fuel pump.
