Distributors have been known to fail ina high mileage paseos. They simply stop running. You basically should have a mechanic test the distributor and if the spark isnt strong enogh, replace it with a new one, or one that has been tested and known to work. While you are at it, go ahead and replace both the spark plugs and the wires. But first, have a mexhanicntest your car's distributor
