One cause is a leaking heater core. Is there a film on the windshield?

Not that I can see

how do I know for sure if it is a leaking heater core?? And how expensive would it be to fix? Thank you so much

is your coolant level going down? You can also perform a coolant pressure test, and or have a mechanic inspect it.

it only did it once and the coolant level is correct. What else could it be?
