how do you adjust the headlights

I have a 2001 ECHO. I do not know how to adjust the headlight. I had to replace burned
out bulbs and then one light pointed up. One side has a plastic hex nut that broke when I
tried to turn it. The other side dous not have one. A tiny screw is visible but to wrenchs or
sockets can get to it.

The adjustment or leveling of the headlights is best done with some knowledge on how to aim them correctly so not to blind other drivers and also aimed properly on the road so you can see. Sounds like you broke off the adjustment screw. Have a shop repair it for you and have them aim them correctly to specs.
