A couple of months ago, my check engine light went on with the code p0770. My friend used his OBD reader and turned it off. Since then, it hasn't turned back on for over 300 miles. My car is due for smog check soon and I was just wondering if I would fail the inspection. Oh yeah, I live in California. Thanks!

I know your worried you might not pass, but if the light it on, they will automatically fail you for emmissions. But if CA is like other states, if there is no light, they will inspect and test for emmissions as required. If it passes, your all good, fails, then you have to do some repairs.

It could be the transmission shift solenoid. Most states let you check it again for free if it fails. go for it
