2002 Corolla auto transmission slipping??
I was coming off the freeway and stopped at the light then
when it turned green I turned left and I noticed my rpm
were really high and I wasn't moving too fast and then it
kicked in and I started driving then less then a quarter
mile later it happened again and acted as if I was in
nuetral and stopped pushing me forward. Normal fluid
level not smelling burnt. If I let it sit for a minute it drives
for a minute then goes back to slipping. I had a code of
P0500 which is a malfunction of the VSS I replaced that
and still no improvements any ideas?
I think you figured it out, the Transmission?
So it sounds like the tranny is shot? Not like a bad ground or something it just seems weird that it drives for a minute then loses it
Going in and out of neutral most times means low fluid level or is slipping. How are you checking your fluid? Engine on and warm, in park, level surface?
I checked it in park and in drive
Go to a few trans shops (if u can) and c what the consensus is. I'm guessing too, trans on its way out!
Okay thanks guys taking in to shop will let you know I thought it was worth a try
