is there a light to view the speed while driving during nights - in a 1997 toyota corolla dx?
should be several bulbs behind the instrument cluster it may be a real pain to get at them though
yes there is a light to show the speedometer. if you are saying it needs to be changed? well the instrument cluster bulbs are located behind the cluster. to access them you have to go on the floor of the drivers side and reach up. there are some wires but you can just push them aside and reach up and remove the bulb or whatever bulb you are trying to replace. trust me, reaching the bulb from under the dash is way better than ripping the dashboard and instrument cluster just to change a bulb. I know this can be done. just a hint of advice, have a Chilton's or Haynes repair manual with you just incase.
you can have a couple of things going on. if none of the instament panel lights are working your dimmer knob might be turned all the way down or your tail light fuse might be blown. if its only the spedo lights that dont work its probably just the bulbs. the are 194 bulbs and they might have a green sleve on them, you can roll the sleve up and off from the bottom and switch it to the new bulb or buy them from a toyota dealer with the green sleve already on them. I think its eisier to remove the instrament cluster to replace the bulbs and you should replace all the 194 bulbs in the cluster while you have it out
