can i put a motor from a 95 toyota corolla dx into a 94 toyota cololla dx

Asked by Nov 02, 2013 at 02:35 PM about the 1994 Toyota Corolla DX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1 Answer

Yes. 1991 to 1997 Corollas are 7th Generation and the Base came with the 1.6liter 4A FE and the DX came with the 1.8liter 7A FE, the difference in being the stroke, they have the same piston, but a different crankshaft and connecting rod. So since they are both DX, it should drop right in. Just get everything you can from the donor.
