Car won't start after washing motor-didn't cover dist. but it started after initial wash now it won't start after detailed clean and new plugs wires cap rotor

You have water or moisture somewhere in or on your ignition components. Let it dry out overnight or get in there with a rag and clean/soak up what you can and see if you can start it up.

Recheck your plug wire placement. Recheck cap and rotor install. Check all fuses. Leave hood open to sunlight for a day to dry out.
