2001 toyota celica gt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought my daugher a 2001 toyota celica gt automatic for her birthday which is a couple off weeks away. Well due to the problems with the motor during those years, I have to put another motor in it. What make/model vehicles have engines that have the 1zzfe engine in them? And what year did they fix the problems with that engine?

1 Answer

Toyota Corolla, Allion, Premio, Vista, Caldina, RAV4, Celica (obviously), Matrix, Avensis, Opa, Isis, and Wish are all Toyotas that use this engine. Chevy Prizm, WiLL VS, Pontiac Vibe, and Lotus Elise are all non-Toyota cars that also use this engine. 2003 was the year that they fixed the oil burning issues.
