my 1992 Toyota celica gts is dying when I hit the brakes at a stop light what is the problem

I think it's an issue with your Idle Air Control valve. It's either gummed up with carbon or the coolant ports are plugged. You may also have a bad EGR. Try unplugging your EGR and hit the brakes. See if it still stalls.
