engine runs rough with AC on.

Asked by veris Aug 01, 2015 at 08:07 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Mother-in-Law's 2005 cobalt was running rough with AC turned on. We thought at first
it was just bad plugs. I replaced the plugs and it ran great for a week. Then started doing
it again. What could be the cause of this. Runs great with AC off.

Sounds like the bearing in the compressor are about to seize up.
