how many miles are on this engine? have you looked at the fuel pressure regulator....to be sure it's still regulatin'?

What kind of pressure are we talking about? Fuel pressure or compression pressure, as The Judge has said? Or cooling system pressure or exhaust back pressure or manifold absolute pressure? -Jim

Blown head gasket can cause higher than normal crankcase pressure. But as stated above we are just guessing without a little more info from you. Where is the pressure to high? How can you tell?
