What are the 'best' tires for the 2004 Camry....especially re: rainy weather?
All Season...preferrably slightly wider than the original Goodyear Integrity that came on the car. Most of the comments about these original tires is about lousy 'wet' traction. I have the same opinion and don't want to make a mistake with new tires. Slightly wider without having to change the original steel wheels....and affecting handling.
I would go with a Michelin Hydro-Edge, which has outstanding wet traction. Suggest talking to your Michelin dealer for recommendations on how much wider you can go with the factory wheels. Good luck!
Do not put MIchelin Exalto tires on your Camry. I had mine installed 2 years ago and have nothing but trouble, noise and vibration like you would not believe. Costco installed them and after complaining to them failed to find the problem or even agree that there was a problem. After much suffering I am changing them out this week. I read some reports that these particular tires have a history with these types of problems, my tires are wearing unevenly, yes I have had them balanced and rotated a number of times, no change, soon to be gone, never again.
