Can I put smaller tires on my 2000 Camry? I have 195s, but I was offered a new set of 170s for free
You should not stray from the prescribed size as indicated on your doorjamb...the front end physics and handling are designed around this size~...anything else would make the car not perform as designed~
there are "used tires" garages everywhere in your town...switch out your four 170's for two what 195/70R14?
It may also wreak havoc on the tire pressure monitoring system, antilock brake system, and your speedometer. As The Judge said, stick to the correct sized tires. HTH. - Jim
To be blunt NO they are too small for your vehicle and I doubt they would even carry the weight of your car without any passengers.
Thanks guys, I guess it was worth a shot...
