Temperature gauge on a 99 toyota camry

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I recently replaced the thermostat and
temperature sensor so the tempature gauge will
work. I drain the radiator coolant and replaced it
with fresh 50/50 coolant and the tempature gauge
started going up and working but then it went back
down and it wont go up higher than cool or under
cool. So any suggestions of whats going on?
