The driver side front power window on my 1998 Toyota Camry goes down fine, but will only raise new inch at a time. Is there a thermal circuit breaker somewhere, or do I have to replace the motor?
There should be an overcurrent device either in the switch or the motor. When it sees to much current is needed to operate the window...it shuts off current...thus...windows stops. Having said that I suspect you have a bind in the channel in which the window rides. A dry type spray lube might help. What happens if you "pull" on the top of the window while you activate the switch ?
Bart......did you ever resolve the issue with that window on this vehicle?
