How do you re set the check engine light?  I disconnected the negative battery cable for a few minutes.   The check engine light continued to display flashing.

Pull codes. C what problem is..

Yes, removing the battery will clear the codes, but come back as soon as the issue is detected again, you need to fix what is causing it to go on in the first place.

I found a vacuum line unplugged, attached it, also changed the air filter, the check engine light still comes back on, after disconnect of the negative battery cable.

Check Engine Light problem, not fixed yet.
