turned on ac and it quit along with pwr wndws tack blower motor...both cooling fans running wide open
Turned on AC and it quit working along with the power windows, tack and
blower motor. Checked all fuses and relays.
Sounds like a bad BCM. There's one for sale on Partsrequest.com for 39.99. https://www.partrequest.com/parts/1996/toyota/camry- le/active-body-control-module
That's great. Where is it located on the car?
Can't find an answer for the life of me. Knowing Toyota, it may all be controlled by the main ECU. I can't seem to find a definitive answer on a BCM location. I have noticed that certain web sites throw the term BCM in when describing the ABS module for example. So there may not be a specific BCM like in a Chevy. If you have a CEL on, I would get the error codes scanned and see what it says.
You might want to consider a re-check of the fuses on this vehicle. DOUBLE CHECK the 10 amp GUAGE FUSE.
BTW...the 10 amp fuse for Gauges should be located in the LEFT INSTRUMENT FUSE BOX a-la-Toyota. The left kick panel for the rest of us civilians. Get back to us with your findings.
