My 96 camry le v6 has a code for the shift solenoid. And its very expensive
The filter and fluid has not been changed could that be all i need to
do instead of replacing the solenoids
You have to replace the fluid and filter when you replace the solenoids, which I think are internal to the transmission. I might be wrong, but changing the fluid and filter might help but no guarantees, then you have to open the trans, paying more. Have a good mechanic look it that you can trust to fix it right the first time. As you already found out owning a car is expensive, get used to it.
